At the Himmaanmäki hill in the village of Riiho, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery from the 22-metre-high viewing tower, which is located along a popular bird migration route. In the summer, there is a cafe at the base of the tower that accepts cash payments.
You can enjoy your own snacks at the campfire. The nature trail is also suitable for small children.
A popular viewing tower surrounded by forests and fields in the village of Riiho. Water bodies and buildings can be seen most precisely from the area of Riiho and Haapamäki. Farther to the horizon, which in the air direction can see approx. 30-40 km.
As a bird tower, Himmaan Huippu is absolutely brilliant. It is located e.g. on the crane migration route Hanko-Oulu.
The lookout tower is located along the Haapamäki-Ruovesi road (3481) in Himmaanmäki, (which 1.5 km is gravel road) at Matkalantie 159, 42820 Riiho. Directions to the observation tower from the Haapamäki-Ruovesi road.
The observation tower is a public utility object owned by Riihon Kyläyhdistys ry. The tower is freely available to everyone at their own risk all year round. No winter maintenance.
The area also has a campfire site, a large hut (for approx. 60 people) and a nature trail.
Torni Cafe of the Riiho village association operates in Himmaa during the seasons, where you can buy coffee, self-baked pastries, ice cream, etc. Note! Only cash is accepted in the tower cafe.
In winter, the slopes maintained by the village association and on the weekends cafe services (check on the Facebook page).
The large hut is available for rent for events.
In total, tens of thousands of people from a total of 30 different countries have visited Huippu.
