The lakes, wildernesses and rural landscapes surrounding Keuruu with interesting stories are made for cycling.
We have collected here a few routes that run mainly on sand and gravel roads. You can drive these so-called with touring and electrically assisted bikes or with a gravel bike specially designed for sand and gravel roads.
Of course, you can also make the journey on a mountain bike and a fat bike – in that case it’s good to just keep in mind that the majority of the route runs on public roads and on hard, comfortably rolling platforms. Each route can also be driven partially, which makes the trip easier for everyone. The routes can also be driven in the opposite direction and you can jump on the journey at any point.
The mileage, height differences and road types shown in the descriptions are accurate, but it is important to remember that the speeds and thus the time taken for the trip are individual and depend a lot on the weather conditions as well.
